SWCC Leads the Global Innovation Portfolio in the Desalination Industry

In support of the directions of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to enhance creativity and innovation, *to advance* the water desalination industry, and ensure the inclusion of the experience at the level of continents. His Excellency the Governor, Eng. Abdullah Al-Abdul Karim and a group of specialist’s meet with academic leaders at the Polytechnic University (University of Applied Sciences in Milan). and visit a number of specialized research centers, to promote Partnerships and explore opportunities for building investment relations with organizations and sectors concerned with the water desalination industry, and providing the opportunity for those interested to participate in the “Global Desalination Innovation Award” in partnership with international and regional organizations, which will be announced in early 2023. 

The visit included a meeting with a number of officials in the industrial sectors and the prestigious "POLITECNICO" University. *Extensive discussions were held on joint cooperation in the field of research and development to invent new technologies and promising business opportunities in water desalination*. *Also the* discussion covers the opportunities for cooperation in the field of engineering, In order to benefit from the detailed engineering expertise and innovation; *and discuss opportunities to develop the components of the desalination industry and the products shared between it and the various sectors.*

"SWCC" provided the opportunity to join the "Desalination Innovation Award" for students, academics and researchers, through its main and subsidiary tracks, which will be announced in early 2023.

This comes within the Kingdom's interest in building partnerships to increase modern solutions and innovations in the water desalination industry and to develop clean energy sources in order to enhance promising business opportunities in this field by attracting innovative minds from all countries of the world.
